Canon introduces new PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 printer

Canon has introduced its latest addition to the PIXMA Ink Efficient G series, the new G400, which offers an integrated ink tank design that is more efficient, cost-effective, and profitable.

The PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 can print up to 6,000 monochrome pages and 7,000 color pages. It also makes full borderless printouts on plain paper or glossy photo papers up to an A4 size. With its Canon Hybrid Ink Sytem, it is able to combine the benefits of pigment blank ink and color dye inks, producing crisp presentation-ready documents and vibrant photos. Ink bottles open easily, while unused ink is safely stored without worry of leakage with the secure screw-down cap.

“When we launched the PIXMA G-Series printers last year, it was well received by the consumers having been able to address their needs for low-cost but high-in-quality volume printing,” said Vinchy Sanchez, Director for Consumer Group of CMPI. “With this new addition to the series, we continue to uphold the promise on economical high volume printing with excellent document handling, efficient design and functionality, and a more profitable experience.”

Canon's new printer integrates the ink tanks within the printer body, saving you a lot of workspace. It also displays a highly compact chassis that allows users to observe remaining ink levels easily. It is easy to set up, taking only six minutes, including the ink charging process. There's also a two-line LCD display on the G4000 that shows guided instructions for hassle-free printing.

With its integrated Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), users can feed up to 20 sheets of multi-page document originals to be reproduced as hard copies or as digital copies in PDF or JPEG format.

Meanwhile, the new Document Removal Reminder function minimizes the possibility that confidential documents are seen by unintended parties. An audio alert and a notification on the LCD display will be triggered when a document is detected on the scanner glass following a minute after the last operation. There's also the new ID Card Copy feature that makes it easy to duplicate ID cards.

Canon's PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 allows mobile and cloud printing. It communicates with mobile devices such as Apple iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks via AirPrint. The Canon Print Service plugin for Android OS, on the other hand, offers similar driverless printing functionality for phones and tablets running on Android OS.

The PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 is available in select authorized Canon stores for only PhP 12,995.
