The announcement has taken place with the release of Canon varioPRINT 140/130/115 which has the capability of producing up to a speedy 140 images per minute (ipm), as well as peak volumes of up to 2.2 million letter/A4-size images per month. The product line also features various print management tools such as PRISMAsync Job Scheduler, PRISMAsync Remote Manager, and PRISMAsync Remote Control app for smart devices, which are made for production planning and motoring.

“The varioPRINT DP line highlights Canon’s commitment to address the demands of production markets, providing reliability and versatility for environments with the need for efficient and cost-effective monochrome production printing,” said Armiliza Liu, Assistant Director of Professional Print Production Business of Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. “Known for unrivaled reliability, the varioPRINT DP line coupled with the latest PRISMAsync capabilities are set to enhance throughput and reduce labor costs as print service providers strive to be more productive and profitable.”

The PRISMAsync Print Server is a Windows 10-based program that is part of the PRISM software suite which streamlines the job-handling process with its visual press console that becomes an essential factor in improving system performance and helps in driving greater workflow efficiencies by means of reducing time spent on staff training and manual operations.

The PRISMAsync Remote Control app allows its operator to focus on other tasks while receiving notifications of any upcoming operational actions as it is, from loading media to adding consumables. It helps to expedite manual interventions that increase device’s uptime and productivity.

Apart from these, the varioPRINT DP line boasts interfaces of JDF/JMF and Document Finishing Device (DFD) which enables connectivity to third-party systems like CIP-compliant MIS or Web-to-Print solutions, as well as simple output tray facilities off-line finishing and optimizing working space with a smaller footprint. In addition, its Screenpoint Technology’s SuperCell Rasterization makes the device deliver offset-like high-print quality with sharp lines, halftone uniformity, and smooth gradations.

And lastly, varioPRINT DP line has DirectPress technology which works in a single, stable digital process unaffected by light, static charge, temperature and humidity, in order to eliminate quality degradation and provide consistency on its output and outstanding reliability on the product.

The varioPRINT DP is also equipped with new security features such as user authentication by role or via LDAP-based operator login, a configurable user interface, and extended audit logging, which are made to monitor user activity and have control from unauthorized usage. It also boasts zero ozone emissions and is among the lowest energy consumption compared to other devices in the marketplaces.
