Cherry Mobile Fusion Aura is First Local Android KitKat Tablet at PhP 2,299

Last month, Cherry Mobile released the price lists for its Festival 2014 sales campaign. Interestingly, the tablet price list contains several new models, including the Fusion Aura. Cherry Mobile recently announced the Fusion Aura on its official Facebook fan page. The company also added that it is “the first local brand to release a tablet with Android KitKat.” Paraphrasing Cherry Mobile’s statement, it shows that the Fusion Aura is the first Filipino-branded tablet that runs on Android KitKat.

Another quite interesting element on the Fusion Aura is its back cover design. Based on the photo from Cherry Mobile, the Fusion Aura comes with a textured back cover with faux stitching. This back cover design reminds us of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) and Galaxy NotePRO. On the front, the Fusion Aura shows a 7-inch touchscreen and a 0.3-megapixel front camera. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, the tablet also comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 2-megapixel rear camera, and a 2600mAh battery. The Fusion Aura also supports USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Miracast, and can accommodate up to 32GB microSD card for storage expansion. According to Cherry Mobile, the Fusion Aura will be available starting this weekend for PhP 2,299.
