Celebrating its fifth year in the local mobile device industry, Cherry Mobile introduced the new Pulse line of smartphones which primarily highlight the Double Tap to Awake. This feature allows users to lock and unlock the smartphone by doing a double tap on it. Doing so helps in reducing the use of the phone’s mechanical power button.

Under the Pulse series, Cherry Mobile is introducing a new affordable smartphone model which targets budget-minded consumers. Selling for PhP 2,699, the Cherry Mobile Pulse Mini is a smartphone that comes with a 4-inch IPS touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, and another VGA camera on the front. Running on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, the Pulse Mini is powered by a MediaTek MT6572 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD). The Pulse Mini supports 3G (HSPA+), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS wireless standards.
