Energizer to help children of Bantay Bata 163 with Night Race Manila 2015

With over 3,000 expected participants, Energizer announces its first open run happening on June 27 at Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa. The run, dubbed as the Energizer Night Race Manila 2015, is set to benefit the children of Bantay Bata 163.

Participants are encouraged to run as far as they can within the two hours given time, as the open run aims to raise PhP 1,000,000. For every 3K loop that the participants will run, PhP 100 will be donated to Bantay Bata 163 as part of its operation and medical treatment funds.

“The runners’ time will be monitored through the radio frequency identification (RFID), which tracks every 3K loop a runner makes. Kilometer markers in the race route are available to serve as the runners’ references,” MJ Tiquia, Brand Activations Manager of Energizer, said. “For this event, runners will have to run as many loops as they can to keep on going for positivenergy.”

A battery meter, which will compile all the three kilometer runs every runner makes until it reaches a one million target, is set to light up every time a runner finishes a three-kilometer run. This will be put on view through an LED-display onstage, and in the start and finish arc.

This year’s race kit is priced at 700 pesos, covering any distance. It includes a race singlet, race bib, Energizer headlight, Energizer cap, and Schick Xtreme 3 Razor. It will also provide access to pre and post-race activities, featuring different bands to provide fun and entertainment.

Onsite registration starts on May 29 at Reebok Trinoma, Megamall, and Filinvest, Royal Sporting House Glorietta, and RUNNR BGC.
