Energizer unveils world's first battery-operated playground in PH

Parents and kids recently got involved in a new experience as Energizer unveiled the world's first battery-operated playground in the Philippines.

The Energizer-powered playground ran from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Trinoma Activity Center last Saturday, December 13 in support to the brand’s new campaign on Max Alkaline. By simply purchasing Energizer batteries, chargers, and flashlights, parents and kids were given one hour to enjoy various battery-operated toys.

“The holidays are always a special time for us at Energizer Philippines because we get to be a part of the fun and excitement of the season through our products,” said Cara Ramirez-Tecson, Energizer Philippines Marketing Manager. “This year, we get to provide even more holiday cheers to Filipino kids by setting up the world’s first Energizer- powered playground for everyone to enjoy.”

The one-day activity was highlighted by a special donation to the Manikako Foundation, a group making handcrafted dolls from donated scraps of cloth that started out as a fund-raising arm of the House of Comfort Art Network, or ArtHOC, a non-profit organization that advocates empowerment through art.

Aside from the Manikako Foundation, Energizer also gave donation to The HOPE Foundation, a group that extends assistance to children who are not able to help themselves by providing food, clothing, medical treatment, and education.

“It’s very important that we share the holiday spirit with kids,” Tecson said. “By supporting the Manikako Foundation and The Hope Foundation, we are able to spread positive energy to the kids and make the Christmas season more memorable for them.”

The Energizer Playground provided the perfect opportunity for kids and their families to experience long-lasting fun as they enjoyed carefree playtime.

Kids who are into music got a chance to hangout at the Tone Town where they played with different musical toys.

Children also had a chance to use their imagination as they explored the Energizer's Wiz World that showcased a wide array of educational toys, robots, and action figures.

Kids were able to play with cars and vehicles, as well, at the Dash District.

Lastly, there was a bigger area for kids who love cars and vehicles, the Vroom Room. The area was highlighted by the Energizer Playground’s centerpiece – a 15-meter car race track and a high-powered helicopter exhibition.
