Evoluzn's Surya Jonnalagadda introducing the ZN 7V tablet.

US-based Evoluzn is entering the aggressive Android tablet market in the Philippines by introducing two new tablets: the ZN 7V and the ZN 8P.

Flaunting a 7-inch touchscreen, the ZN 7V is positioned as a value segment tablet.

Evoluzn ZN 7V

One of the world’s first tablets that use Marvell’s PX986 dual-core A9 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, Evoluzn positions the 7-inch (1024 x 600) ZN 7V as a value segment tablet. Besides the dual-core chip, the ZN 7V comes with built-in 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. Running on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), the tablet can support up to 21Mbps 3G wireless connectivity, in addition to Wi-Fi. It also supports Full HD video playback, and Miracast which allows users to wirelessly stream music and movies to other Miracast-enabled devices.

The back of the ZN 7V makes use of plastic with anti-fingerprint and anti-slip coating.

Evoluzn has equipped the ZN 7V with a 2-megapixel main camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Externally, the ZN 7V comes equipped with a scratch-resistant glass panel on the front, while its back cover is layered with oleophobic coating. The tablet is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

Evoluzn ZN 8P

Stepping up from 7-inch to 7.85-inch in terms of display size, the Evoluzn ZN 8P is more powerful, being equipped with a quad-core A7 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Measuring 8.5mm thick, the ZN 8P features an IPS screen with 1024 x 768 display resolution, two slots for 3G SIMs, Wi-Fi connectivity, and an aluminum casing. It also uses a dual-camera system, consisting of a 5-megapixel main with flash and a 2-megapixel secondary.

The bigger relative of the ZN 7V, the ZN 8P sports a larger 7.85-inch display.

Similar to the ZN 7V, the ZN 8P also supports Full HD video playback and Miracast, has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Considering its size, the tablet comes with a 5000mAh battery with Power Management Module support for energy efficiency. The ZN 8P is also equipped with a K-class (hybrid) amplifier for better audio performance.

The ZN 8P's durability is enhanced by using an aluminum back cover.

Evoluzn’s ZN 7V and ZN 8P are timely offerings this Christmas season. Available through MemoXpress, the first few buyers of these tablets will also get a Bluetooth headset with FM radio and MP3 player support. The ZN 7V is on offer for PhP 5,999, whereas the ZN 8P retails for PhP 8,990.
