Gionee Announces Quad-core ELIFE E7, Claims to be the Best Android Cameraphone Today (Updated)

Update: Gionee announced that it will hold the public launch of the ELIFE E7 at the SM Mall of Asia Activity Center on Sunday, March 30, 2014.

On paper, it boasts some pretty impressive specs. The ELIFE E7 has a 5.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 401 ppi. The screen is reinforced with the third generation of Gorilla Glass, which is said to be twice the durability as the Gorilla Glass 2.

A 2.2GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor on a Snapdragon 800 chipset is what makes this phablet performing. Camera-wise, it utilizes a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. The E7 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is backed up by a 2500mAh battery. It is available in white, black, blue, pink, green, yellow, and orange and reported to arrive in China on December 5 and India in January 2014. No reports of its local availability as of the moment.
