Google's Daydream to include a VR Harry Potter game

Delivering a good news for Harry Potter fans, Google has announced the availability of its new consumer VR headset and controller, the Daydream View, in November. Having more than 50 Daydream apps to be released this year and hundreds more coming after that, Google revealed that it includes a new VR Harry Potter game.

During the Pixel event, Google showcased some highlights that are near completion including Gunjack , a sequel to CCP's turret shooter that is probably the most successful VR game to date. However, the most exciting game on Google's roadmad is a VR Harry Potter game based on the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movie.

The VR Harry Potter game will turn the Daydream controller into a wand and let the player casts spells.

According to Google, the Daydream View will be compatible with VR apps from Netflix, HBO and Hulu, as well as Google Maps.

Google will also launch a VR version of Street View that will include tours of 150 global landmarks including the Taj Mahal and the Pyramids. Oddly enough, there's a 'sheep view' VR mode that seems to be exclusive to the Shetland islands.

Google Daydream View needs to pair with a compatible Android phone such as Google's new Pixel and Pixel XL. The headset and controller will be available in November for USD 79 or approximately PhP 3,810.
