Google occasionally updates their Android Distribution chart and it seems like the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS has been making some significant headway - it now can be found on 15.9% of Android devices. This is 5% up from last month's statistics: ICS was on 10.9% of devices  with the figure looking set to spike with new hardware and software updates for existing portfolio coming up.

Of course, making its first appearance in the chart is the newly announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. While it is currently at only 0.8% of Android devices in the world, it is considered a feat given how new it is and the fact that only official Nexus devices and Motorola Xoom are on Android 4.1 for now. Nonetheless, it wouldn't be long before HTC, ASUS and Samsung - with Sony Mobile on the fence - join the fray.
