Leak reveals new Leica Sofort instant camera

A photo from the October issue of the Leica Fotografie International (LFI) magazine posted by photographer Steve Huff reveals a new Leica instant camera, allegedly called “Sofort.”

The new Leica Sofort camera, reported to be released by Leica tomorrow, September 15, comes in colors of white, mint, and orange. Speculated specifications circulating online reveal that the Leica Sofort camera will carry an Auto-Hektor 1:12, 7/60mm lens with three focusing zones: Macro; Standard (60cm-3m); and Infinity (3m-infinity). Other leaked specs suggest that the Sofort camera will be having an optical viewfincer and a Leica-designed compact body.

Leica is also alleged to announce a Leica-branded color and black and white instant film priced at around €12 to €14. Said instant camera can also be used with instax mini film by Fujifilm.

The Leica Sofort instant camera will reportedly retail at the price of €279, and said to be available in November 2016.
