Leica announces new M-P Titanium set

Leica has announced a limited edition Leica M-P digital camera called the Leica M-P Titanium, which is the company’s fifth annual edition camera made from titanium.

The Leica M-P TITANIUM limited edition set comes with two lenses.

Said limited edition will come bundled with a Leica M-P digital camera (Typ 240) and two lenses: one Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH and one Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH.

The Leica M-P Titanium comes with a unique design in which the top deck, as well as the baseplate and controls, are made from solid titanium. The camera’s body has a full grain leather trim finish for an assured tight grip matched with a leather carrying strap. The usual Leica script also found on other Leica products is etched and situated on the Leica M-P Titanium camera’s top plate. Also, both the Leica Summicron-M 28 mm f/2 ASP and APO-Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 ASPH highlight a special serial number, which is found on the ring of the front element of the former and on the bayonet ring of the latter.

The Leica Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH delivers an outstanding speed, and is best for wide-angle photography. The Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH, on the other hand, has superb optical properties essential in producing images with better resolution and sharpness.

No updates on the Leica M-P Titanium’s local availability yet, but it is already on sale in other countries starting October, with a price of AU$ 34,000. The Leica M-P Titanium will be limited only to 333 units globally.
