Motorola unveils Moto G5 Plus and G5, to go on sale next month targeting mid-tier smartphone market

Motorola has unveiled the Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5 at MWC 2017, aiming to bring premium features to the mid-tier smartphone market segment. Both phones have metal finishes that gives them a touch of class, however, the phones have distinct price points and features to target the varied audience of its target market.

The Moto G5 Plus features the octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. Its full HD 5.2-inch screen is paired with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is also powered by its 3000mAh battery. According to its official video, its main selling point is its rear-facing, f/1.7 aperture camera that sports comprehensive camera software suite. The Moto G5 Plus has an SRP of EUR 279.

The Moto G5 weighs in with a smaller 5-inch, full HD screen that is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It sports 2800mAh battery, and is powered by an oncta-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. It is priced at EUR 199.

Both phones are set to go on sale in March this year.
