Nokia 2 makes landfall in PH

HMD Global recently announced the local pricing and availability of the Nokia 2, a phone that is more known for having a great battery life.

The Nokia 2 raises the bar anew for the competition. The new smartphone bares an impressive two-day long power capacity on its 4100mAh battery that doesn’t come at the expense of performance. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core Mobile Platform and boasts a 5-inch HD display for a pure, secure, and up-to-date Android experience, making the device offering the technology which users can depend on all day, every day.

“People rely on their phones so much these days, with many subconsciously rationing their battery life when out and about so the phones can last the day. We don’t think you should have to do less with your phone, which is why we created a smartphone that can power through when other devices need a pit stop,” said Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global.

“With the Nokia 2, we wanted to replicate the unique Android experience we’ve delivered so far that lives up to the long-lasting battery life so many users expect with Nokia phones. To make this a reality, every component of the Nokia 2—from the display to battery, chipset to system design—has been engineered to draw as little power as possible from the huge battery to give users a long-lasting phone they can rely on.”

“Filipinos lead a busy lifestyle juggling work, family, and other personal activities, from spending time with friends to pursuing passion projects. The Nokia 2 was created for consumers with that lifestyle in mind,” said Shannon Mead, the Philippines Country Manager for HMD Global. “With its two-day battery life, the Nokia 2 is built to last longer than other smartphones, enabling users to further immerse themselves in productive work and continuous entertainment.”

On top of these, the Nokia 2 is built to last in every way as it features an unrivaled durability in design that is drawn on drawing on all the hallmarks of the Nokia phone heritage of quality, simplicity, and reliability. Its sleek frame is precision-machined from a single block of aluminum while the Corning Gorilla Glass is complemented by sculpted polycarbonate on the back, delivering both a great feel and sturdy build-quality users expect from a Nokia phone.

“Indeed, the all-new Nokia 2 lives up to the brand’s legacy of durability and battery life longevity,” said Edward Tan, MemoXpress Vice President for Operations. “   Most smartphones today cannot handle the increasing phone activity and requirements of users and therefore require repetitive charging in a day. Nokia’s changing the game with the Nokia 2’s long battery life, and we’re excited for the Filipinos to experience it.”

The Nokia smartphones always offer a pure, secure and up-to-date Android experience, with incredible features such as Google Assistant but no preinstalls or skins. And for a more secure experience, the recently-launching Nokia 2 receives monthly security updates to ensure that it is safe and up-to-date. And initially powered by Android Nougat, this mobile device can be upgraded to Android Oreo.

In addition, Nokia 2 through its 5-inch LTPS LCD HD display offers a bright, crisp viewing experience at lower power consumption which gives its users the the freedom to fully immerse in continuous entertainment–from HD videos and crisp, clear photos to favorite songs, social media and web browsing–without worrying about running out of battery.

And with an 8MP rear camera featuring automatic scene detection and autofocus, the Nokia 2 delivers fantastic shots every time. While its counterpart, the 5MP front camera, users can capture any moment from any angle. There will always be extra capacity for all the photos and videos captured with the phone’s dedicated memory card slot and unlimited photo and video uploads to Google Photos.

“Customers are very particular with the brand they choose but are also willing to experiment as long as the balance of value for money is met. I am confident that the Filipino market will be optimistic about the new Nokia 2, which packs among other features two-day battery life and regular Android updates at a favorable price,” said Karel Holub, Chief Argonaut at argomall.com.
