Nokia Introduces Dual-SIM Asha 501 to Local Market

The latest addition to the Asha family is now available in the Philippines. Connecting young and hip people that are always on-the-go, the dual-SIM Nokia Asha 501 is the first smartphone built on the new Asha platform. It features a durable and removable Nokia shell and a three-inch Gorilla Glass capacitive touchscreen which is scratch-resistant.

The Asha 501 is packed with a 3.2-megapixel camera with 5-in-1 filters app, an included 4GB memory card (expandable to 32GB), and comes with the latest version of Nokia Xpress Browser. This Nokia exclusive browser enables faster and more affordable browsing by compressing web pages by up to 90%, even when multiple pages are open.

"Undoubtedly, the Nokia Asha 501 is a smartphone that combines an enticing design with performance and a totally new way to stay mobile with Fastlane," highlighted Karel Holub, General Manager of Nokia in Philippines. "Its exclusive Fastlane view provides a timeline of activities and events in the recent past, present, and near future. This innovative feature makes it easier to start where you left off and plan ahead with just a simple swipe," he added.

The new dual-SIM Asha 501 has high-end design that comes in different colors. Initially, there are bright red, yellow, and classic black. Available later on are white, bright green, and cyan. They retail at PhP 4,490 and are available in stores today.
