OPPO, Vivo claim top spots in China

OPPO and Vivo battled for the number one spot in China after boosting their market share by more than five percent in just one year according to Counterpoint Research.

Counterpoint Research stated that OPPO has 16.6 percent of the market, while Vivo owned 16.2 percent. In Q3 of 2015, they had market shares of 9.9 percent and 8.2 percent, respectively.

Formerly China’s top smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi claimed the 10.6 percent of the market, down from 14.6 percent during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Huawei enjoys the third spot with 15 percent of the market.
