A few months back, we posted a news about Oracle unveiling the Exalytics In-Memory Business Intelligence Machine - the industry’s first in-memory hardware and software system engineered to perform tasks like run analytics faster than ever, provide real-time speed-of-thought visual analysis, and enable new types of analytic applications. This time, they’re back to present new applications and solutions for more efficient and faster operations in organizations.

Continuing to deliver new innovations to its Business Analytics Portfolio, Oracle announced two new Oracle Business Intelligence Applications: Oracle Manufacturing Analytics and Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Analytics. These new offerings enable customers and partners serving manufacturing energy production, utilities, and other asset-intensive industries to gain better insights and make decisions at the speed of business. Not only that, they also provide support for large numbers of concurrent users and are certified to run on Oracle Exaltics In-Memory Machine. The two applications complement other Oracle Business Intelligence Applications.

Also parts of the new applications from Oracle are the Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics for SAP and Oracle Supply Chain and Order Management Analytics for SAP. Using these help to extend intelligence to SAP Materials and Management and SAP Sales & Distribution to reduce procurement and spend costs and to improve supplier performance and supply chain efficiency. They are among the 80-plus Oracle BI and enterprise performance management applications available today for Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine without any application changes.

Up next is the announcement of the general availability of Oracle Endeca Information Discovery. It is an enterprise information discovery solution for the exploration and analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from diverse sources. Customers today are using this category-leading solution for a wide range of data discovery applications that include warranty analysis, insurance claims analysis, criminal intelligence, and social media sentiment analysis.

The release of the industry-leading Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System is also another thing to take note of as it combines category-leading EPM applications and BI products to support a broad range of business processes that enable organizations to become smarter, more agile, and better aligned. With it, customers can now achieve extreme performance for planning and forecasting by leveraging Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine.

Using these new applications from Oracle, customers can now extend their business analytic capabilities with unprecedented performance while accelerating deployment cycles, lowering costs, and reducing risks.

“Business analytics – getting the right data to the right person at the right time to make the optimal decision is the most important thing you can get from your data. Analytics is in Oracle’s DNA and is a vital part of everything we do,” said Mark Hurd, President of Oracle. As the leader in business analytics, Oracle enables customers to plan, forecast, and monitor business performance faster and with more precision.
