PLDT Group's MVP Rewards Card lets customers earn points as good as cash
The PLDT Group, led by its Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan, unveiled this month MVP (Most Valuable Partner) Rewards, an innovative program that enables PLDT Home, Smart, Sun, and TNT customers to earn points that are good as cash as they pay for their mobile and Internet subscription. Powered by PayMaya, the MVP Rewards Card allows customers to enjoy the points they got the way they want without worrying about expiration dates. The earned points can be used to pay dining and shopping expenses locally and abroad.
“MVP Rewards is in a category of its own. We’ve taken what is best across industries and put it in one powerful program that offers more than just rewards. And the PLDT Group has the unique ability to provide this level of convergence owing to the breadth of our combined services,” said Pangilinan.
With MVP Rewards, PLDT Home, Smart, and Sun postpaid subscribers get points every time they pay in full and on time, whereas prepaid Smart, Sun, and TNT customers receive points every time they load up. Customers may enroll several accounts in the program, and points gained through the accounts are consolidated into one wallet.
Like a PayMaya card, the MVP Rewards Card functions as a prepaid card whether online or offline. You can load money on it, allowing you to spend only what you're willing to spend without racking up interest just like in the case of using a credit card, or using up your savings when using a debit card. With Paywave function, the card can be used as a tap card to pay toll fees in Cavitex. When travelling abroad, the MVP Rewards Card can be used as a VISA card as well.
In addition, MVP Rewards members also get instant perks and privileges, such as chances to win in exclusive raffle draws, receive big rebates for your bills, and special discounts at various establishments like restaurants, fitness and wellness centers, and retail outlets.
“MVP Rewards is a game-changer in the country’s rewards category,” PLDT FVP and Group Head for Loyalty and Rewards Annette W. Tirol said. “We made sure that the unique benefits and features of the program and the card are truly rewarding for our subscribers. This is only the beginning of a wider roll-out that will include a bigger membership base, more partners and more exciting perks.”
MVP Rewards members can also earn more points and enjoy up to 15% savings if they subscribe to the PLDT Best Buy Bundle offer that allows customers to mix and match unlimited Internet service from PLDT, LTE from Smart, and Cignal HD TV.
Qualified subscribers who sign up for the MVP Rewards Card on or before February 28, 2018 will get their personalized card delivered right to their doorsteps for free.
