Razer's mechanical gaming keyboard line gets major updates

Originally launched in 2010, the Razer BlackWidow mechanical keyboard line now gets new switch option, magnetic wrist rest, and cosmetic updates. The Razer BlackWidow V2 will continue the legacy of offering tactile switches with the Green and Orange variants, and now adds an alternative – the Razer Yellow switch.

The Razer Yellow Switch has linear and silent design, and reduced travel distance that allows keys to be pressed faster. The new switch’s feel and properties are also meant for FPS and MOBA players who press certain keys thousands of times over the course of a match session. Having the highest mark among current generation mechanical switches, it is rated to 80 million keystrokes.

Its durability is also complemented by the comfort it offers. It has a newly included magnetic wrist rest optionally attaches to the bottom of the BlackWidow V2 keyboard, helping gamers to feel comfortable during marathon gaming sessions.

The BlackWidow Chroma V2 keyboards feature individually backlit keys that are powered by Razer Chroma that unlocks customizable lighting features which can be synced across devices. Gamers can choose from 16.8 million colors and a variety of effects. Custom settings can be done using Razer Synapse software platform, and shared with millions of other Razer software users via the Razer Chroma Workshop.

The Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 is shipping now, and is priced at PhP 10,499.
