Roccat Renga headset is made for those on a budget

Roccat's Renga might not look like much but it can be used on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, which is a major plus point in its favor.

It's hard to find the perfect audio solution. After all, audio is subjective; what somebody thinks is good might not be up to snuff for another. That's why instead of trying to woo potential buyers over with its sound, Roccat is touting the Renga's features instead.

The new Rocca Renga headset features high-spec 50mm neodymium drivers in each cup, which are aligned to deliver an immersive audio experience. To make it lightweight, the headset's designed with a skeletal frame, kinda of like what you'd see helicopter operators in the 1980s use.

The lightweight nature is just one part of Roccat's plan to make the user comfortable. The Roccat Renga also has ventilated ear cups, an ergonomic headband and plush ear cushions. It also has an inline remote control that allows you easy access to select sound settings. For those wondering, while the mic on the headset is rotatable, it's not removable so using the headset while on the go might be a bit awkward.

As mentioned earlier, the headset supports any device with a 3.5mm jack. Due to this, you can use the headset on the Xbox One, PS4, PC or even your mobile devices without any compatibility issues.

If you're interested in the headset, you'll have to wait a bit though as Roccat's only has a vague release window of late February/ early March. When it does come out, the Roccat Renga will cost US$49.99.
