Samsung has been active in promoting its innovations to help in improving educational procedures in Philippine schools. In 2011, Samsung teamed up with La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) in Mandaluyong City in launching the PEARL Project in which Samsung tablets were employed as a Personal Learning Device for digitized curriculum materials. The same year also saw the company’s refortified partnership with Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) wherein Samsung donated LED HDTVs and air conditioning units for the school’s technical laboratory. In 2013, Samsung tablets, loaded with e-books, were provided to parochial schools Pasig Catholic College (PCC) and San Isidro Catholic School (SICS) in replacement of traditional textbooks.
