SKK Marian Tab Shows Up, First Local Octa-core Android KitKat Tablet

SKK Marian Tab

Delving deeper into the local octa-core scene, SKK Mobile revealed another octa-core device, this time a tablet, in the form of the Marian Tab. Following the release of the Marian V1 and the Marian S1, the Marian Tab comes with a 7-inch LTPS touchscreen with 1920 x 1200 display resolution, 18-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel shooter on the front. Internally, the Marian Tab is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and a 3500mAh battery. Running on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), the Marian Tab has two SIM slots and supports 3G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi wireless standards. In addition to a free smart case, the Marian Tab is also loaded with 20+ exclusive photos and videos of Filipina celebrity, Marian Rivera.

SKK Marian S1

The Marian Tab is the third octa-core device which SKK Mobile announced this year. The first one is the Kraken, which has been hyped up as the most affordable octa-core smartphone in the market, and the Marian S1, another Marian-labeled SKK device. The 7.7mm-thin Marian S1 features a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 5-inch IPS LCD screen, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, and a dual camera system (13MP main with flash + 5MP front). The dual-SIM handset supports 3G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), and comes with a 1900mAh battery. SKK Mobile bundles the Marian S1 with a smart case and a 2400mAh battery module.

Is SKK Mobile talking about the Kraken?

The prices of the Marian Tab and the Marian S1 are not revealed. At the time of writing, SKK Mobile’s last image post on its Facebook page hints at an octa-core device that is less than PhP 8,000, which we believe is the Kraken.
