The tech brand formally unveiled the XPS 13 2-in-1. Running on Windows 10 and powered by 7th Generation Intel Core processors, the XPS 13 2-in-1 promises to deliver maximized productivity and creativity, and lifelike viewing experiences, thanks to its QHD+ InfinityEdge touch display. It comes with a full turn-around hinge and viewing options using Continuum, and offers up to eight hours and 35 minutes of battery life.

“The XPS 13 2-in-1 takes the sleek design of our beloved XPS 13 and kicks it up a notch with a new architecture in a 360-degree design,” said Jay Ranola, Dell Philippines Consumer Business Head. “Built for maximum mobility – virtually a mandatory demand from consumers today - we’ve made it thinner, smaller and easily convertible to tablet, tent, and stand mode.”

The XPS 13 2-in-1 also features a fanless design that keeps it silent, plus a quick-booting solid state drive (SSD) that makes it running in seconds.

“The premium and innovative design, enhanced with all leading-edge technologies packed into its small body, makes the XPS 13 2-in-1 easily a favorite for highly mobile individuals and professionals – it’s a no-brainer,” added Ranola.

Aside from that, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 boasts a Dynamic Power Mode which delivers extra processing power in short bursts when needed, and leading-edge connectivity will all USB Type C with one Thunderbolt 3 connector that makes functional on both charging and display on either port.

For business consumers, Dell’s latest offering delivers everything that IT administrators require without the need of sacrificing the mobility and productivity that employees demand on a 2-in-1 PC. With 7th generation Intel Core vPro processors, the XPS 13 2-in-1 also has advanced security features with optional self-encrypting drives, TPM 2.0, easy system management and BIOS configuration options, all backed by Dell’s global services and support.

Dell also announced that it is the first in the technology industry to create and ship packaging made partly from recycled ocean plastic, with the packaging tray of the XPS 13 2-in-1 made out of collected plastic materials from waterways and beaches (25%) that are mixed with other recycled HDPE plastics (75%) from sources like bottles and food storage containers. This initiative was started globally on April 30, 2017, and Dell plans to expand the packaging move to their other product lines soon.

Aligned with this initiative, Dell EMC Philippines waged a coastal clean-up drive called Shore Up, in which the team volunteered to clear garbage on Freedom Island along Manila Bay.

“The idea that technology should be a driver of human progress is central to how Dell thinks as a company. It is our commitment to put our technology and expertise to work where they can do the most good for people and the planet,” said Ronnie Latinazo, Dell EMC Philippines Country General Manager. “This new packaging initiative demonstrates that there are real global business applications for ocean plastics that deliver positive results for our business and the planet.”
