Smart Launches Education Hub, Aims to Improve Customer Service

 Smart Communications, Inc. has recently opened a multimillion-peso “edutainment” hub where its contact center agents can be trained to become better service ambassadors for its 50 million subscribers.

Smart opens its own education hub and it occupies a 400-square meter facility that consists of a Base Camp where over 100 instructional videos, simulators, games, and other learning media can be found. These are all used to impart knowledge to Smart's employees and be better service ambassadors for the network's 50 million subscribers.

“Theoretical discussions are helpful, but nothing beats firsthand experience when it comes to learning. Because our agents know Smart’s products and services inside-out, they become more effective customer service representatives. They are well-equipped to handle technical requests and demands from an increasingly sophisticated and techno-savvy subscriber base,” said ICON General Manager Bing Payumo.

Aside from being an education hub, this facility also serves as a place for entertainment where agents can browse the Internet, play online games, or simply chill in any of the camp sites in the area.
