Are you looking for a unique all-in-one training device that works with your smartphone? Sony's Smart B-Trainer does the trick by offering intelligent music playback based on your heart rate.

The price may seem steep at PhP 12,999, but the Smart B-Trainer offers so much in its package. The earphones themselves (model name SSE-BTR1) are integrated with six different sensors to measure your heart rate, acceleration, location (using GPS, a compass, and gyroscope), and the atmospheric pressure. These, in turn, provide you with instant information, such as burned calories, distance, time, speed, pace, cadence, step, stride, running route, and elevation.

Using Sony's 12 Tone Analysis technology, the Smart B-Trainer can then automatically select music that best fits your training routine at that exact moment. In addition, the accompanying Smart B-Trainer for Running app, which you can download for either Android or iOS, will keep track of all your progress and assist you in coming up with the most efficient plans for reaching your fitness goals.

The Smart B-Trainer comes with 16GB of internal storage and has a rating of IPX5/IPX8, making it waterproof for up to 30 minutes at a depth of two meters underwater. It's now available in certain Sony Centers and authorized dealers around the country.
