Sony Launches Socially-Oriented Xperia Miro Via Facebook

Apparently, Sony's Facebook page had a countdown counter these past few days, hinting at a new product. That countdown ended a few hours ago and the new product is the Sony Xperia Miro, a 3.5-inch smartphone that is designed for being socially connected.  Not too many details were released, but what we do know  aside from the screen size is that it has a 5MP rear camera, Android 4.0, some kind of built-in Facebook functionality and DLNA for wireless media connectivity with TVs, tablets and PCs.

Xperia Miro provides deep Facebook integration and Sony's xLOUD audio technology in a slim and stylish design. Below are the key features:

  • 3.5" display for great browsing and entertainment experiences
  • Launching on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 5MP camera and brilliant quality video recording at 30fps
  • Sony's xLOUD audio technology gives crisp and loud sound

Another smartphone has been unveiled - the Xperia Tipo. It comes in both single and dual SIM version for consumers looking for value and functionality. The key features are:

  • Launching on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 3.2MP camera
  • Dedicated set-up guide
  • Data management solution to identify data usage
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi(TM) for easy content sharing and web access
  • Powerful battery, 1500 maH, with >24hrs usage time
  • Available in red, white, blue and black
