Simultaneous with the global launch, Tag Heuer introduced to the Philipine market the Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 through an event held at SM Aura in Taguig City.

Developed in partnership with Google and Intel, the Connected Modular 45 sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 400 x 400p resolution and multi-touch recognition. Beating within the watch is an Intel Atom Z34XX processor complemented with 512MB RAM and 4GB built-in storage. The smartwatch is so-called modular because of its removable main body and straps, allowing for customization. Arriving in 11 basic references with customizable user interface, thanks to Android Wear, the physical design of the Connected Modular 45 can be modified in 4,000 different ways.

Tag Heuer's collaboration with Google brings some of the best features of Android Wear to the Connected Modular 45. These include voice command recognition, Google Translate, Google Maps, notifications, Google Fit, and the capability to download apps using Google Play and control music playback on a connected smartphone or a tablet. The smartwatch is compatible with devices running on at least Android 4.3 or iOS 9+.

On the connectivity front, the Connected Modular 45 features Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi. Integrated sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, tilt detection sensor, microphone, vibrations/ haptics engine, ambient light sensor, GPS, and NFC. With a 410mAh battery, the smartwatch can last up to 25 hours and can be fully recharged in almost two hours. It is water-resistant to 50 meters.

There's no word on the exact price and date of availability at the time of writing, but Tag Heuer Area Sales Director in the Philippines Romain Cans mentioned during the launch that the Connected Modular 45 has a starting price of CHF 1,650 (over PhP 80,000).
