Veritas is now independent with new leadership

Victor Cheng, Managing Director of Sales in Asia South Region, explains the status of the newly independent group during the press event.

Now fully independent and under new leadership, Veritas is taking on the challenges local companies face in data optimization.

For those who are unfamiliar with Veritas Technologies, the company focuses on providing businesses and corporations with solutions for data collection, protection, and analytics, which lead to greater profits and enhanced growth. The revitalized group is headed by CEO Bill Coleman, who claims that several organizations don't have their own data centers or applications; hence, the need for protection in the cloud is more vital than ever.

“We’re in a unique position as the company that manages and protects the world’s information, and I am honored to become part of the Veritas family to serve our customers and partners,” said Coleman.

The market segments Veritas specializes in are backup and recovery, integrated appliances, information availability, and archiving solutions. The company claims to have the number one or two position in market share for each one.

Veritas is backed by The Carlyle Group, and its partnership with Wordtext Systems, Inc. (WSI) bolsters its status of being trusted by 86 percent of the Global Fortune 500.
