Viber now allows businesses and brands to engage with potential clients

Viber, one of the world’s leading messaging apps, has announced the launch of Public Accounts for businesses, brands, and public figures to engage with their clients and potential clients.

With Public Accounts, they can now connect with their audiences through the use of various one-on-one chat options or social broadcasting, all on one platform.

“On Viber, people already connect securely and freely with their families, friends and colleagues. Today, we are introducing a way for people to start connecting with businesses, too,” Michael Shmilov, COO of Viber, said.

“The first set of tools will enable businesses to reach their audience on Viber using messaging and rich interfaces, which can be tailored to the various needs of any business,” Shmilov added.

Can be used across sales, marketing, and support teams, Public Accounts encourage both engagement and personal connections.

How it works:

Once a Public Account is created, both admins and participants are provided with the tools to communicate at scale in an easy, direct, and personalized way with their audience. This includes the opportunity to message their followers through their existing CRM, one-on-one live chats, or chatbots.
