If you watch a lot of videos, chances are you would have heard of or maybe even used or are a user of VLC. The desktop version of VLC has a tremendous following thanks to its ability to play just about any video format.

The iOS version of this app recently received a major update to improve its user interface and functionality. First and foremost, the update includes a new design to bring in more in line with iOS 7's look and feel. In addition, there is also added integration with popular cloud storage services Google Drive and Dropbox. There is also the option to download videos from UPnP media multimedia servers on your local network.

To help guide users, VLC has included a handy tutorial when you start up the app to walk users through the app's basics and help take advantage of these new features.

VLC is available as a free download on the App Store.
