Western Digital introduces redesigned lines of My Passport, My Book hard drives

Western Digital has introduced redesigned lines of the My Passport, My Passport for Mac, and My Book hard drives in partnership with Fuse project.

Developed to help make a new connection between the device and a user, the new drives include password protection and hardware encryption.

Providing reliable portable storage that complements an on-the-go lifestyle, the My Passport drives will come in six colors – Black, Yellow, Red, White, Orange, and Blue. The My Passport for Mac drive is available in a stylish Black color, while the My Book combines personal style with a massive amount of storage space up to 8TB.

Each storage device comes with an automatic backup solution and password protection.

           

The new WD products include:

  • My Passport portable hard drives: It now includes a new attractive design with textured bottom, password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption, and automatic backup with included WD Backup software. It has up to 4TB capacity. It is protected by a two-year limited warranty and has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting at PhP 4,190.
  • My Passport for Mac drives: It comes with a new attractive design with textured bottom and password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption, as well. Also, it is formatted for Mac OS X and Time Machine ready for easy backup. It has up to 4TB capacity. It is protected by a two-year limited warranty and has an MSRP starting at PhP 4,190.
  • My Book desktop hard drive: It includes password protection with hardware encryption and automatic backup with included WD Backup software. It has up to 8TB capacity. It is protected by a two-year limited warranty and has an MSRP of PhP 6,850.
